Tony Proe - Vice President of Business Development

Tony Proe has extensive industry experience with roots in general retail and college stores. A veteran salesman, he has broad expertise in bringing books to market with special strengths with the small and medium publishers. In 1991, Tony Proe founded Proe & Proe Associates working with traditional trade, where he transformed his commissioned sales group into a multichannel sales force bringing the smaller presses onto the same playing field as the larger houses in the nontraditional accounts.
Following his success with his own firm, Proe consolidated the resources of his own company with R + R Book Company to form the Empire Group. This new entity expanded coverage to the traditional national accounts, as well as streamlining procedures and data flow. In addition to the trade, he has expertise in selling to special markets, mass merchandisers, grocery, drug store and airport chains. Proe will be spearheading efforts to expand the client base of both BookMasters Distribution Services and AtlasBooks. |
